GREAT JOB MASKAT!!!!!
Another TSA Ceremonial has
come and gone and Wichita Falls
is to be congratulated on the tremendous job they did in hosting the
session on such short notice. If you didn't make it to Wichita Falls, you missed
a GREAT meeting and competition. Ill. Sir Mark Elgin, his divan and
ladies, were perfect hosts and the entire session went smoothly. Maskat only has 559 members, but I'll guarantee you that
almost 50% of their Nobles were there working to ensure that everyone had a good
time. When you consider the number of Maskat nobles
that could not attend because of age or sickness you can quickly see that this
temple has figured out how to keep all of their Nobles involved.
Maskat
is also to be congratulated on presenting El Mina Shrine Center with a check
for $10,000.00 to assist in their rebuilding program in light of the
destruction experienced by Hurricane Ike. What a gesture of friendship
consistent with our Masonic principles.
Imperial Potentate Doug
Maxwell was present and the majority of the business meeting was taken up in a
discussion of the current status of our Shrine hospitals. Imp. Sir
Maxwell encouraged those of you who are either Iowa
or Colorado
representatives to closely read the call when you receive it because of the
extensive amount of legislation that is being proposed this year.
Your TSA officers look
forward to seeing all in San Antonio
in a few weeks and please try and attend the Texas Breakfast. Again, thanks to Maskat for a job well
done.
